Itching for Spring in February

These pictures in the backyard were taken on an unseasonably warm February day. Jacob and Christian decided to go out and throw the football, and Isaac decided to munch on some grass.

I kept pulling the grass away from him, then finally just decided to let him get a taste of it, then maybe he'd stop trying to eat it. (This was just a day or two after the infamous green bean incident, so I knew the kid could gag something out of his mouth if he didn't like it.)

If you saw the previous green beans post, this face may look familiar.

Sure enough, he started spitting and sputtering once the grass hit his tongue, but he kept going back for more, so I had to pick him up and move him away from the grass!

Christian HATED the feel of grass (and my hair!), so I wasn't expecting Isaac to want to touch the grass AND eat it! But then, Isaac loves to pull and tug on my hair, while Christian would grimace if it get caught in his hands, so they are quite different.

Isaac and I went out for a walk with the stroller a few days later. It was really nice outside, but the breeze was cool, so I bundled him up, and he looked so cozy and content!

Another stroller ride that same week:
