Family Astronomy Night

We went to Family Astronomy Night at Cypress Grove park a few weeks ago.

Jacob is dressing Isaac in his astronaut pajamas for the big night out!

Here's a tidbit for those of you who may not know:

little Jacob wanted to be an astronaut!

He even had an astronaut bedroom when he was in third grade.

(Actually, the astronaut border stayed up in his bedroom until last year; it was a little sad when it came down!)

Someone told him that astronauts have to have 20/20 vision, so his dreams of catapulting through space were squashed in elementary school, but the wallpaper border remained.

We bought Isaac these astronaut pajamas when I was pregnant, in honor of Jacob's early years.

"You mean you're taking me out this time of night?!"

just practicing...

If he's going to drive a spaceship, you gotta start somewhere!

ready to see some constellations!

Isaac laughed for Jacob here on the changing table for the first time this night!
