My Dad had to go to Nashville for business in September, and he said, "I couldn't go to Nashville without going to Jackson!" My mom was quick to note that he wasn't going to Jackson without her, so they were able to work in a weekend visit to Jackson around Dad's work trip to Nashville. Pretty cool!
And here's the best part: Dad has to come back for Part 2 of this business trip to Nashville in October, so they'll be here again this weekend!!!
Saturday morning, we got to take in a rainy soccer game.
Then we had a picnic lunch under one of the pavilions... it was a chilly, quick picnic!
On Sunday, I dressed Isaac up all fancy for church.

Monday night, we went to dinner with Papa Jack and Zanna at The Old Country Store.

(Christian isn't in this one because we took it for a book Isaac has in which you insert photos of your family members. Christian was wandering around, eyeing all the neat toys in the gift shop!)
He settled on spending his money on two sticks of rock candy. He wanted to buy one for himself and one for me with his own money. I kept trying to talk him out of it and to save his money (that's a lesson we can't seem to impart), but he insisted and was so proud to treat his mom. Sweet!
Poppy & Mimi left Tuesday morning. It's always sad to see them go, but it's much easier knowing they'll be coming right back the following month!!
This is a video clip taken a few minutes before Mimi & Poppy arrived. As I was changing Isaac's diaper, I was singing to him, "Tes grands-parents, ils viennent ici" (Your grandparents, they're coming here!), and Isaac was getting so excited and making loud noises as if he wanted to sing along! We'll have to sing this one again on Friday because they're coming again!
