Big Soccer Game WIN!

Saturday, October 4, 2008
Cheering for big brother... well, ok... sleeping through big brother's game (in a duck suit).

Awake after half time!

They beat the #1 team in the league and were so excited! The coach told them they could pour the cooler on him if they won, so here they are eager to do just that! They all ran off the field straight toward the cooler!

Here's the team lined up for patches. This coach distributes colored soccer ball patches after each game. The various colors represent different things: win patch, goal patch, defense patch, hussle patch, trick patch, etc... The boys iron the patches onto their shorts, and it's so motivating for them.
Here's a team photo. We've been so pleased with the coach -- he's great. He doesn't even have a child on the team; his son (far left) plays soccer for Union University and is the assistant coach. It's an "Under 12" division, so you can see the variety in sizes of these kids! :)
