Celebrate Plate & 2 month checkup

My mom gave us this celebrate plate for our family... whenever we have something to celebrate, that family member gets to use the celebrate plate at dinner. It's a fun tradition.
Here's Christian using the celebrate plate after getting a 100 on a big English test. He's struggled in English, and we studied so hard for this test. It was 5 pages long, and he didn't miss a single one!! We were ALL very excited!

The very next day (the plate was still in the dishwasher and hadn't been packed away yet!), I got to use the celebrate plate because the journal with my article finally arrived in the mail!
I wrote a paper my first semester of grad school that I poured hours and hours of research & work into. My advisor encouraged me to submit it, helped me with revisions after it was accepted, and after a year and a half, it finally arrived! The submission deadline was January 07!
If anyone would like to read it, it's riveting (just kidding!) ...16 pages in French discussing the meaning and significance of key words as they are used differently by various characters in a 17th century French play (Pierre Corneille's Le Cid). It is a little sad that probably my greatest writing accomplishment is one that my English-teacher-literature-loving mother can't read!
Lu, thanks for always encouraging me too -- this picture wouldn't be here without you encouraging me - start to finish- with grad school! :)

Ok, so I'm a little behind with the posts. Obviously.
These pictures are from Isaac's 2 month check-up on September 12, 2008.

It's always so cold in there, but smiley Isaac doesn't mind!
Looks like he doesn't even realize that he's about to get shots!

He handled it well, and konked right out that night.
