The Empathy Belly

We took a 4-session course called "Prepared Childbirth," given by the hospital. The best class was definitely the session with the "empathy belly!"

...and here's the 35 lb belly. As you can see, it wasn't just belly that he had to wear! :)

About the time of this class, I was starting to have a difficult time rolling over in bed. I told Jacob that I wanted him to lie on the floor and try to roll over while wearing the belly, and we caught that on video!

NOT very empathetic!

After all that rolling around, the instructor has Jacob sit in a chair, tie his shoe, pick things up off the floor, etc. to get a feel for the belly. His legs are so long though... none of the tasks are very difficult for him.
