This was how our garden started this year -- a pallet full of stuff from Home Depot!
Christian and I wondered how it would all fit in the truck, but Jacob was excited about the challenge.

Last year we did our first "Square Foot Garden," and this year, Jacob decided to add this part with a trellis for vine-growing plants.

You can see our hanging tomato plants in the silver buckets between the two windows on the left. The hanging tomatoes freed up more space in our square foot garden, so we grew broccoli and cabbage for the first time this year.
Another project Jacob tackled was adding a stone border to our flower beds in the front yard.
It was a big project -- Christian helped, and Isaac enjoyed playing on the porch and watching Daddy.
