Our sweet friend Katie Beth came for an overnight visit a couple of weeks ago.
When a tornado damaged her dorm on campus at Union University in February 2008, Katie Beth spent the rest of that spring semester living in our guest room until she graduated that May.
After she graduated, Katie Beth moved to Paris where she taught English, and she's been living there ever since. Isaac was born the July after she left, so he had never even gotten to meet her!
I wish you could have seen the look on Isaac's face when Katie Beth started speaking French to him... it was priceless! I guess he's never heard anyone but me and the handful of French videos he's watched speaking French!!! He became super shy, but he eventually warmed up.
Katie Beth brought us treats from France from Christian's penpal and his family -
it was so fun receiving gifts from Paris!
