An entire week off work... how did we fill our time?

Jacob took Monday - Friday off work the week after my mom left.

Christian was in Texas, so we were home alone with the new baby.

After some rough newborn nights when my mom was staying with us, Isaac starting waking in the middle of the night only to eat this week. Hallelujah!

He has slept well at night since then, waking about every 3 hours to eat, then going right back down to sleep. We are eagerly anticipating a full night of sleep (*understatement*), and now that he's 8 weeks old, we have our fingers crossed that that day is approaching!

Here's the good little sleeper sleeping in his swing.

(I believe that's a tongue twister.)

Jacob was shocked at how small Isaac could fold himself up...

...about as shocked as I was when he proudly showed me that Isaac could fit in this bowl on our dining room table!

We put Isaac in his playplace for the first time this week.

He likes it!
We took walks and introduced Isaac to the sling.

He absolutely LOVES the sling! He curls up and goes right to sleep!
Jacob dubbed it "the womb, part II."


In our "real life," we rarely watch tv, but this week, we enjoyed some tv!


We spent most of our week with this guy --
Jack Bauer, Federal Agent for CTU.

We spent 24 hours of our week watching Jack Bauer protect America from a nuclear bomb, among other crises -- what a guy.

We watched the entire second season of 24 in one week!

It was a very slow-paced, precious week that Jacob and I had with our little newborn Isaac.
